If you’re purchasing Hardwood Flooring from us, it can be nice to know the process we go through to manufacture and get your order to your home. We’ll have another blog coming next week on our sand and finish process. For now, let’s focus on our manufacturing.
SOURCE
French White Oak in Europe
Although we would love to source and mill our wood, we chose to use companies that sustainably source wood and produce high quality engineered raw wood flooring. Our main species that we produce is European French White Oak. This wood is sourced in Europe and has a different look and feel that American White Oak. The soil, climate and environment all produce a very fine species of European French White Oak. We can use any species of wood that you prefer and are not limited only to Euro White Oak.
MANUFACTURE
We manufacture all of our hardwood flooring here in Austin Texas. Our warehouse is located just in Spicewood and curated by our team of trained and creative professionals. We have a combined experience level of about 40 years and are so proud of our team and their passion for making top quality hardwood flooring.

Our Soest Machine does the work of what a crew of hardwood flooring service crew would do in your home once the raw wood is installed. Each plank of wood is inspected by our team prior to being inserted into the machine, checking for any flaws. Once it goes in the machine, it’s coated with color (we prefer Rubio Monocoat since they are a green product and all plant based). It’s then buffed to help the color application on the wood, then goes through a second light buff to rid of excess oil. Once the color is applied, had this been in your home, it needs time to dry, days in fact. With our soest machine, the wood immediately goes into a UV Curer. This UV curing instantly dries the plank and hardens the finish. This creates wood that’s immediately ready for installation and also gives it an added layer of protection, unlike floors that are finished in your home.

As each plank of wood comes out of the machine, it’s hand inspected by our team. Although the machine may do the “heavy lifting” our team is still needed to verify unanimous color throughout each order and each plank. They also verify each plank of wood comes out looking top quality and up to our standards. Once the plank has been approved, its then packaged by hand in a bundle, wrapped up and protected. Now that an entire flooring order has been finished, UV cured and packaged it’s ready for delivery.
DELIVERY
We forklift our bundles onto our Austin delivery truck and the order is delivered by someone on our team. Once we arrive, you don’t do any heavy lifting. Our team unloads the wood and it is placed in a safe spot away from traffic or weather where it can possibly get ruined. Your Harwood flooring is now ready for installation! Our installation process goes very quickly, we have an amazing crew that works fast but also does a fantastic job.
