Pre-Finished Floors

What are Prefinished Floors you might ask?

In the Hardwood flooring industry, most solid wood flooring is installed with a raw surface- it has no color, stain or finish on it to protect it. Therefore, a crew comes in to sand, buff, stain, Rubio or lay finish on the floor to give the wood a finished look and feel. This has been the way hardwood flooring has been done for years.

Traditional Hardwood Flooring that gets finished on site can take more time than you may want.

The downfall to this, is that you are kicked out of your home for 1-3 weeks for this process to happen- which may be fine with you, especially if your home is still under construction and you have yet to move in. Some home owners are getting hardwood floors installed during a remodel, therefore do not want to have to wait on the time it takes to install, sand and finish. As far as time goes, that’s where pre-finished floors come in handy. Lets discuss some reasons why home owners, designers, architects and builders are now going with pre-finished floors.

White Oak Pre-finished Floors

Pre-Finished floors are what designers, architects and modern builders are now using.

Why chose pre-finished solid wood flooring vs traditional?

Trying to make a deadline for your build or remodel? Pre-finished solid wood flooring is ready for installation upon its arrival to your home and is ready to be walked on as soon as installation is complete. This is a fantastic option for home owners short on time! We offer a turn-key service here in Austin and surrounding areas. We deliver the wood to your home and install our product within a day or three for a quick turnaround. (Call us for details on that service.)

Want a more durable wood flooring? The solid pre-finished floor we offer is UV-cured in addition to a hard top coat, which provides added protection against water spots and scratches. Something on-site finished hardwood floors just don’t have, unless you pay a company a good chunk of money that offers that service (which is hard to find.)

Want a more budget friendly approach without giving up luxury wood flooring? That’s where we come in. Not all pre-finished flooring is the same. Ours is custom made here in Austin Texas by skilled men who have years of experience with hardwood flooring, color, stains and finishes. We put passion and care into our work, creating a luxury product that’s custom to your style (53 color options and 5”-16” width planks available.) The European White Oak Floor is a luxurious wood that is rare, but so versatile and strong, creating beautiful character throughout the flooring. Since it’s engineered wood, it has a 1/4 inch plywood bottom but a 3mm wear layer, this means that once our pre-finished floors are installed in your home, they can be refinished 2-3 more times! The cost is more reasonable than actual hardwood flooring, provides a longterm investment for your home, is top quality and is going to last.
